BIG CHANGES at The Bondi Psychologist in 2024
Important Information – Please Read
Dear clients and friends,
Rachael Walden has temporarily relocated to London. As such, The Bondi Psychologist clinic will be closed from 31 January 2024.
We will miss our beautiful Bondi clients (and the beachy location!), and we will be back in Bondi in the future.
For now, here’s what you need to know:
➡️ Rachael Walden is taking new clients for online therapy. Book here.
➡️ Rachael is seeing Australian clients online via videolink from London. This allows her to offer highly desirable after-hours appointment times, due to the time zone conversion (appointments will be approximately 6pm–9pm weekdays, Sydney time). Please note that these appointments are not eligible for Medicare rebates.
➡️ For other inquiries, please reach out by email: info@bondipsych.com.au
Thank you for being part of The Bondi Psychologist community. 💙

When You Need Someone to Talk to, Choose The Bondi Psychologist as Your Online Therapist
Have you been feeling sad or dissatisfied with your life? Issues with depression can result from so many different things, from troubles with your career to problems at home, or fallings out with friends and beyond. In these situations, it can be beneficial to sit down with someone and offload everything you are feeling or thinking. Having these conversations with friends or family members can be difficult, though. You might feel ashamed of how you are feeling, or your sadness or confusion may even have to do with the person you would normally talk to in a time like this. Consulting with a Bondi Beach Psychologist is an excellent opportunity to speak openly and honestly in a safe, confidential and compassionate environment.
Sit Down with The Bondi Psychologist for Help and Guidance
At The Bondi Psychologist, we are here to talk whenever you are ready to open up to someone. We regularly work with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, mood swings, post-traumatic stress disorder, loneliness and isolation, lack of direction, career crisis and sadness. We offer a non-judgemental place to come and offload how you are feeling—something you may not have in your life.
More than just offering a compassionate ear, though, you will find helpful advice and guidance at The Bondi Psychologist. As you open up to us, we will offer you our evidence-based strategies for healing. A close friend or family member may be able to comfort you, but that person may not be equipped to provide the psychological guidance and support you need. Working with us, you’ll access effective therapeutic treatments to find a way back to confidence, positive feelings, happiness, and a sense of direction in your life. Our goal is to help you unlock the life you want.
We use a variety of different therapeutic approaches to help you. These include relaxation techniques, self-esteem at work, weight loss counselling and boundary setting. Our methods include EMDR, ACT, CBT and mindfulness practice. All our therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and proven to be effective in treating a variety of conditions. By conversing with you and learning about how you are feeling and what is bothering you, we can tailor the right therapeutic approach (or collection of approaches) to bring about real, positive change in your life.

Therapy for Individuals
You may think there is something wrong with you because you’re feeling lost, out of control, overwhelmed or desperate. Take heart – you are experiencing a commonplace human reaction to the challenges in your life.
Your current situation may stem from trauma or abuse. Are you struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, poor self-esteem, anxiety or depression? Trying to lose weight but your mindset keeps you trapped in an unhealthy cycle? Do you feel that something is not quite right, but you can’t put your finger on it?
The training our Psychologists have undertaken, along with our extensive experience and our encouragement of your free expression, allow you to safely and honestly confront your issues. Right from your first therapy session you’ll be moving toward healing, growth and a life that’s in tune with your values.

Therapy for Couples
Despite being loving, intelligent people, you and your partner are experiencing frustration. Often the same pattern of conflict repeats over and over and you can’t see a way out. You didn’t start out this way and you want to go back to the way you were before things took a turn for the worse.
Whether you need sensitive navigation to get your relationship back on track, help for grieving a relationship that has ended or compassionate guidance to gracefully part ways, couple’s counselling can dramatically ease this turbulent life challenge.
We apply methods of relationship therapy that are strongly backed by science including Gottman Method Couples’ Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), neuroscience and mindfulness practices.
Don’t wait to seek help. The relief you will feel as you make progress will far outweigh the discomfort or embarrassment that makes you hesitate.
